Meridol Toothpaste 75 ml
Description of Meridol Toothpaste
Gingivitis is an inflammatory disorder of the gums. Plaque bacteria and the waste products of bacterial metabolism irritate the gums. The characteristic symptoms of chronic gingivitis are bleeding, swelling, and reddening of the gums. Meridol toothpaste has been especially developed to promote the regeneration of irritated gums:
Inhibition of new plaque formation: The combination of amine fluoride/ stannous fluoride inhibits the accumulation of bacteria on the surface of the teeth and thus inhibits the new formation of plaque.
Inactivation of residual plaque: The combination of amine fluoride/stannous fluoride reduces the general viability of bacteria. It therefore promotes the elimination of pre-existing plaque and inhibits bacterial growth.
Inhibition of gingivitis associated bacteria: The specific inactivation of gingivitis-associated bacteria by amine fluoride/stannous fluoride supports the anti-inflammatory effect and the re-establishment of a healthy oral flora.
Reduction of the inflammation of the gums: The antibacterial and anti-plaque activity of amine fluoride/stannous fluoride ensures that the main cause of gingivits, i.e. retained and insufficiently removed plaque, is inactivated and eliminated. The anti-inflammatory potential of the combination is attributable to these effects.
